Applied to the fixing plugs before they are fitted, it seals the penetration and stops a "bridge" forming between the damp or stained substrate and the new internal surface. It has high resistance to ageing and temperature extremes and achieves high adhesive strength without primer on most building and engineering materials.

Key features

Prevents efflorescent salts and staining to the finished surface

Seals the fixing plug to the membrane

High adhesive strength without primer

Compatible with alkali substrates such as concrete and brick

Temperature range -50°C to +150°C

High resistance to ageing; non-toxic and solvent free

Typical applications

Sealing fixing plugs to System 800 membranes (Newton 803, 803 Newtonite, 805 Newlath)

Sealing around service penetrations and protrusions through the substrate/membrane

General high performance multipurpose sealing in building

Available options

Single tube

Technical information

Property

Value

Type

Single-component silicone sealant

Colour

White

Temperature range

-50°C to +150°C

Pack

310 ml cartridge

Shelf life

Minimum 12 months sealed, stored +5°C to +25°C

Limitations

Do not expose to thermal, mechanical or chemical influences until fully cured

Not suitable for structural glazing, mirrors, polyacrylate, polycarbonate or sanitary applications

Not suitable where the cured sealant will form part of a painted finish

Health and safety

Read the safety data sheet before use.
