BIOKIL. Bitumen Emulsion – waterproofing and adhesive for floors, walls and foundations

A rubberised bitumen emulsion for general use on walls and floors to prevent water ingress and dampness. It also works as an effective adhesive for wood block flooring, wood mosaics and cork tiles – several jobs from one product, for both new build and renovation.

Typical application rates

• Foundations / concrete beams and columns: two coats at 2m² per litre each
• Exterior walls: three coats at 2m² per litre, blinding the last with sharp sand
• Interior walls, moderate damp: two coats at 2m² per litre (not for interior walls below ground – it may not resist free water or water pressure in basements or cellars)
• Floors (sandwich construction): two coats at 1m² per litre, blinded with sand, under a screed of at least 50mm
• Plastering on difficult surfaces: two thin coats at 4.5m² per litre, blinded with sand; allow 48 hours
• Wood mosaics: 0.8m² per litre

Store indoors between 5°C and 40°C and protect from frost. Shelf life a minimum of 12 months sealed. Available in 5 litre and 25 litre containers.
