The right sealant keeps out water and draughts and stays flexible as a building moves. This category covers silicones and hybrid sealants for frames, wet areas and general building.

Neutral oxime-cure building silicones are for perimeter sealing external doors and window frames, and for weather sealing. Sanitary silicones are low-maintenance and fungal-resistant, with excellent adhesion to ceramics, glass and laminates. Multi-purpose silicones are high-modulus acetoxy-cure sealants with fungicide.

For sealing and bonding in one product, there are hybrid sealant adhesives that work on most materials, including damp surfaces, and combine the strengths of silicone and polyurethane.
