After a new damp proof course, salt-contaminated plaster has to be replaced with a system that resists salts and lets the wall breathe. Otherwise the damp can return in the new finish.

The Limelite system uses Limelite Easy Bond primer, Renovating Plaster as a lightweight, salt-resistant base coat and High-Impact Finishing Plaster. The Dryzone route pairs Dryshield Cream with Drygrip Adhesive for faster replastering. Whitewall One Coat Plaster is moisture resistant, and Rendermix waterproofs sand and cement renders.

Where a wall stays damp, BIOKIL. BioFlex Membrane with BioFlex Adhesive gives a plaster-ready finish without fixings. The Replastering Kit covers about 30m² at 10mm.
