BIOKIL. Woodzone Masonry Biocide – dry rot treatment for masonry and soil

A super-concentrated, solvent-free fungicide (IPBC) designed to eradicate the dry rot fungus from masonry, plaster and soil. Dry rot can spread quickly through a building, so if your property shows the signs you need to act promptly. The small 160g container makes 25 litres of treatment, applied by low-pressure, non-atomised spray to refusal on affected surfaces and by irrigation via holes drilled into walls or floors.

How to use

1. Use when the temperature is above 5°C. Clean all wall areas and oversites with a stiff broom or wire brush to remove surface growth and strands.
2. Dilute the 160g container with 25 litres of water.
3. Apply 2 coats to the joints, followed by an overall surface application by brush or coarse spray (not an atomiser). Spray oversites until saturated.
4. Where severe dry rot has occurred, irrigate: drill two-thirds deep at 230mm staggered centres, angled downwards – only where deep penetration is demonstrably needed.

Coverage: coarse spray 1 litre per 2–5m²; irrigation 2.5 litres per m² of 230mm brickwork (10 litres per m³).

Shelf life: concentrate up to 4 years; diluted product up to 6 months. Store in a cool, dry place (minimum 5°C). Use biocides safely – always read the label and product information before use. Must not be applied while bats are present.
