Tanking puts a waterproof coating directly onto a wall or floor, so it holds back water instead of draining it. It's used in basements, cellars and wet areas.
The range includes BBA-approved cementitious slurries that mix with water to form a durable waterproof coating, one-component osmotic mortars, and epoxy tanking that resists water, chemicals and hydrocarbons above and below ground. Bitumen emulsions waterproof walls, floors and foundations.
Prepare the background with an antisulphate treatment to neutralise salts and an SBR bonding agent to improve adhesion. Stop active leaks first with a water plug. Apply slurries with a tanking brush and wear tanking gloves.
