BIOKIL. Anti-Mould Thermal Coating – premium anti-mould, condensation-resistant interior paint

BIOKIL. Anti-Mould Thermal Coating is a high-performance interior wall and ceiling coating developed to protect surfaces from unsightly and potentially harmful black mould and reduce the effects of condensation. Advanced acrylic copolymer technology and integrated biocides deliver long-lasting hygiene protection in a smooth, washable matt finish, while thermal-modified micro-beads raise surface temperature to help reduce condensation – a key trigger for mould.

Preparation

Remove existing mould with ACS Mould Wash Concentrate and leave for a minimum of 3–4 hours, preferably overnight.
Repair surface defects, sand smooth and clean thoroughly.
Ensure surfaces are dry, dust-free and between +10°C and +25°C.

Application

Stir thoroughly. Apply 2 full coats, preferably with a long-fibre roller or brush; strong background colours may need extra coats.
Touch dry in 1–2 hours; recoat after 2–4 hours.
Coverage: 4–6m² per litre per coat.
Covers most existing matt emulsions; eggshell, silk and vinyl finishes may need keying or priming. Take care sanding pre-1960s finishes, which may contain lead.

Important

Interior use only. Not a substitute for adequate ventilation. Not for heated surfaces such as radiators.
Wear gloves, an FFP3 (minimum) mask and protective clothing. Refer to the MSDS before use.
Shelf life 12 months in the original sealed container; store above 5°C and protect from frost.

How far does BIOKIL. Anti-Mould Thermal Coating go?
4–6m² per litre per coat. Apply 2 full coats. Strong background colours may need more.

How long does it take to dry?
Touch dry in 1–2 hours. Recoat after 2–4 hours.

How should I prepare a mouldy wall?
Remove the mould with ACS Mould Wash Concentrate and leave it at least 3–4 hours, preferably overnight. Repair defects, sand smooth and clean. Paint only when the surface is dry, dust-free and between 10°C and 25°C.

Will it cover existing paint?
It covers most matt emulsions. Eggshell, silk and vinyl finishes can resist overpainting, so key them with an orbital sander or prime them first.

Can I use it outside or on radiators?
No. It is for interior use only and is not suitable for heated surfaces such as radiators.
