AquaDry StormForce – double-strength, solvent-based masonry water repellent (25L)

AquaDry StormForce is a high-performance, double-strength, solvent-based water repellent, ready to use straight from the can. It treats above-ground exterior masonry to prevent penetrating damp from rainfall on walls and roofs.

Key benefits

  • Ready to use
  • Excellent penetration depth
  • Tack-free drying
  • Protection for up to 15 years on standard clay brickwork; up to 10 years on roofs

Suitable substrates

Concrete, roughcast, limestone, sandstone, brick, natural and synthetic stone and aerated concrete – for walls and most roofing materials. Not suitable for bitumen, asphalt or felt roofs.

Coverage

3–5m² per litre per coat, depending on surface roughness and porosity. 2 coats are required (3 coats for limestone).

Application

  • The substrate must be completely dry for at least 24 hours before application, and no rain should fall within 24 hours after.
  • Apply by low-pressure, large-particle spray or brush. On walls, aim for a controlled run-down of approx. 300mm on surfaces of average porosity.
  • Apply the second coat once the solvent has evaporated (typically 4–24 hours). Highly porous materials may need a third coat.
  • Full water repellency is reached once the resin cures, in approx. 24 hours.
  • Protect windows, paintwork and vegetation. Always test a small area first.

Safety & storage

Flammable (flash point 40°C). Can dissolve expanded polystyrene, some rubber, plastic and bitumen products. Supplied in 25L metal containers; shelf life up to 2 years. Store in a cool, dry place away from naked flames.
