BIOKIL. BioTherm Adhesive

BIOKIL. BioTherm Adhesive is a ready-mixed adhesive with polymer technology for a quicker drying rate and improved early bond strength, designed for internal use with BIOKIL. BioTherm Membrane ultra-thin wall insulation for damp control.

Surface preparation

Surfaces must be clean, firm, flat and plumb, and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose flaking material
Finishing plasters should be at least 4 to 6 weeks old and thoroughly dry; roughen highly polished plaster and lightly sand silk paint to create a key
Prime porous masonry with SBR bonding agent diluted 1 part to 3 parts water and allow to dry
Newly plastered or rendered walls need a minimum of 28 days drying time

Application

Mix to a uniform paste before use
Apply with a 6mm notched trowel to form horizontal ribs, to a maximum bed depth of 3mm
Only cover an area that can be lined with membrane within 20 minutes (open time at +20°C)
Press BIOKIL. BioTherm Membrane into the adhesive by hand and roller – never spot fix; ensure 100% coverage
Allow to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before finishing with multi-finish plaster
Do not apply below +5°C or when likely to fall that low in the following 24 hours. Not suitable for exterior use
