BIOKIL. BioTherm Membrane – ultra-thin internal wall insulation

BIOKIL. BioTherm Membrane is an ultra-thin, breathable thermal membrane for internal wall insulation and damp/mould control. It is vapour permeable but waterproof, resisting lateral damp transference, and because of its thermal benefit and the withholding of damp transference it is highly resistant to the formation of surface mould.

Where to use

• Damp wall restoration (internal)

Application

• Cut rolls to the wall dimensions; lightly spray the darker side with water and wait about 2 minutes
• Apply BIOKIL. BioTherm Adhesive with a 6mm notched trowel (bed no deeper than 3mm), covering only what can be lined within 20 minutes
• Stick the light side of the membrane to the wall, press by hand then roll flat to remove air bubbles
• Butt sheets side by side (no overlaps) and tape all joints with scrim tape
• After a minimum of 24 hours, finish with multi-finish plaster applied directly to the membrane, then a breathable paint
