BIOKIL. Concure360 Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) Unit
Costing as little as 3p per day to operate, the BIOKIL. Concure360 Positive Input Ventilation unit provides a constant stream of warm, fresh, filtered air that raises the dew point, ventilates the home and offers a highly effective solution to damp problems caused by condensation.
Fitted in the loft with some simple electrical work, it circulates naturally warm, filtered air from the loft space around the home. When the loft air drops below 10°C, a cost-effective pulse heating system automatically warms the incoming air, so the unit doesn't need switching off to avoid chilly draughts. Ideal for homes with a loft suffering from condensation, and for second or holiday homes used infrequently.
Key features
- Fully automatic – reassesses airflow against back pressure every hour and adjusts output to suit
- Six speed settings: P1–P4 for normal use, P5 (Recovery) and P6 (Purge) for drying after decoration or flooding
- Economical 500W pulsed heater tempers incoming air below 10°C
- Heat distribution mode: speeds up to use solar gain above 20°C and pauses above 25°C
- Ultra-low wattage EC centrifugal fan – extremely quiet (<15 dB(A) at 3m)
- Running costs approx. 3p per day, rising to 4p per day at speed P4 (based on 15p per kWh, without heater)
- Helps eliminate condensation and mould growth and improves indoor air quality
- Disperses natural background radon levels of up to 700 Bq/m³
- LED hours-run display verifies continuous service
- Manufactured in the UK, with a 5-year no-quibble, transferable warranty
Installation
Normally fitted in the loft across the ceiling joists, directly above the landing (or in the central hallway of a bungalow). The 200mm diffuser is positioned centrally. The unit can be wired into the upstairs lighting circuit if 2 Amps of spare capacity is available, and is supplied with two spur boxes: a 3 Amp fused spur for the main power and a switched box for the Heater Enabler. Keep the Heater Enabler switched on for best performance. Comprehensive fitting instructions are supplied – see the installation guide below.
