BIOKIL. LMN Building Silicone Sealant – neutral cure oxime silicone

BIOKIL. LMN Building Silicone Sealant is a one component, professional grade, neutral oxime curing silicone sealant for perimeter sealing external door and window frames, and for weather sealing and flexible jointing of infill panels.

Rapid curing with good adhesion to most common building materials, glass, aluminium and painted surfaces. Conforms to EN 15651-1,2,3 (F EXT-INT, G, S1).

Application

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease or contaminants. Prime porous materials for optimum adhesion.
Use a backing rod or bond-breaking tape so the sealant contacts only 2 surfaces. Joint depth no less than 5mm; joints over 10mm wide should be at least half the width in depth.
Cut the cartridge tip, fit the nozzle and cut at 45°. Apply between +5°C and +40°C with a standard sealant gun.
Tool with a sealant applicator tool (not a wetted finger) and protect joints from movement for at least 3 hours. Clean tools with white spirit or cleaning wipes before curing.

Limitations

Porous surfaces should be primed first
Do not use where water can penetrate through porous materials to the bond interface without remedial work
Not suitable for natural stone, aquaria, bitumen or asphalt
Over-painting is not recommended; risk of yellowing in low UV light situations
