Lo-Carbon Positive Input Ventilation Unit with Heater – Wall Mounted (PIVW)
The wall-mounted PIV unit improves indoor air quality by continuously introducing filtered fresh air into the home. Gently pressurising the dwelling with fresh, tempered air creates an environment where condensation and mould find it hard to take hold – protecting both the occupants and the building. If mould is already present, the unit helps the property dry out so the mould can then be treated more effectively.
Key benefits
- 7-year product guarantee
- Energy efficient – consumes as little as 4 watts (DC motor)
- Extremely compact – can be fully hidden behind 200 x 200mm decorative boxing
- Pre-heater (300W) fitted as standard
- Adjustable airflow with pre-set speeds; adjustable summertime cut-off when incoming air is warm
- Very quiet; removable cartridge for easy repair and replacement
- G4 filter supplied (optional F7 filter for urban areas near main roads)
- Helps alleviate condensation and reduces radon (radon mode available)
Where to fit it
Fit on a convenient wall as close as possible to the air intake – ideally in a hall cupboard with access to an external wall – with supply ducting run to an outlet grille in the hallway so air is delivered centrally. Mount at about 1.8m above floor level where possible. Wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician via a 3A switched fused spur.
Maintenance
Under normal conditions the filter should be checked annually and cleaned or replaced as necessary; it can be vacuumed or washed in soapy water and air-dried.
Supply: 220–240V. Intake, outlet and supply ducting: 100mm. See the data sheet for performance tables, installation options, wiring and commissioning.
