BIOKIL. PVA Adhesive
High-solids, ready-to-use adhesive, primer, bonding agent and admixture
BIOKIL. PVA Adhesive is a versatile, ready-to-use product for interior building work in dry conditions. As well as being an adhesive, it works as a primer, bonding agent, admixture and dustproofer. For damp or exterior applications, use BIOKIL. SBR Bonding Agent instead.
Typical Applications
- Bonding timber, plywood, chipboard, concrete, brick, stone and other building materials
- Priming porous surfaces such as brick, cement and plaster before rendering, plastering or screeding
- Admixture to improve the workability and adhesion of cement-based mortars, renders and plasters
- Sealing and dustproofing interior concrete, terrazzo and composite floors
- Wood adhesive for joinery and cabinet work in dry conditions
How to Use
All surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and dust-free.
- Adhesive: apply neat, press firmly together, clamp if possible and leave for 24 hours.
- Plaster bonding agent: prime with 1 volume PVA to 2 volumes water and allow to dry. Apply a bonding coat at the same dilution, then plaster while it is still tacky.
- Cement admixture: 1 litre per 5kg of cement, or 5 litres per 25kg bag.
- Sealer/primer: dilute 1 volume PVA with up to 3 volumes water, depending on porosity, and brush on until suction is satisfied.
