TIMCO Applique Drop Down Seal
TIMCO Applique Drop Down Seal – surface mounted, 60 minute fire rated
A surface mounted drop down door seal that is activated by the door closing, dropping to seal only when the door is shut. This leaves the threshold clear and flat with no need for high fixed thresholds. It forms an effective barrier against weather, noise, light, fire, smoke and insects, and is a cost-effective option for Part E and Part M of the UK Building Regulations (access and energy conservation).
It can be fitted to the inside (lock side, using the bumper provided) or the outside (non-lock side) of the door, and is designed for retro-fitting to timber door sets.

- Galvanised steel flat springs and reinforced actuators
- 4-fin V zero class PVC rubber seal, self-extinguishing
- Fire tested to BS 476 Part 20/22: 1987 to 60 mins; smoke tested to BS EN 1634-3: 2004
- Acoustic tested to BS EN ISO 140-3: 1995 – up to 37dB Rw
